Statewide work, delivered locally.
VASCAMP is the collective voice and support system for senior centers across Vermont.
Senior Center Foot Care and Wellness Initiative
A federally funded initiative bringing foot care, wellness programming, and transportation support to 25 senior center sites statewide, running through the 2026–27 program year.
Meal Program Education & Support
We partner with DAIL and Vermont's Area Agencies on Aging to make sure meal reimbursement rates reflect actual costs, nutrition standards for older Vermonters are met, and there's an equitable, transparent, inflation-aligned funding formula across the state's meal providers.
Amplifying Creative Senior Centers
A partnership with the Vermont Arts Council bringing teaching artists and creative programming into senior centers around the state.
State & Federal Education
From home and community-based services funding to Age Strong Vermont, VASCAMP educates policymakers and agencies about the funding and policies senior centers and meal programs need to stay sustainable.
Three goals guiding our work.
Age Strong VT, Vermont's 10-year plan for an age-friendly state, frames how we set priorities. Our strategic plan turns that into three concrete goals.
Be the local, trusted place to age well
Provide the supports senior centers and meal providers need to be the local, trusted place that connects older Vermonters with the programs, services, and opportunities they need to age well — including monthly statewide meetings, a shared best-practices database by 2026, and an annual conference for staff and partners.
Foster relationships that grow our network
Build connections across Vermont's dispersed, rural network of senior centers and meal providers — many of which run on budgets under $100,000 with just one or two staff — so they can share resources, best practices, and support each other rather than compete.
Enhance the capacity of senior centers to serve older Vermonters
Help senior centers and meal providers secure the funding, training, and policy support they need to be sustainable — including media support for National Senior Center Week and March for Meals, at least two published op-eds a year, and quarterly meetings with V4A, DAIL, and Vermont's congressional delegation.
